9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe worst elementary school I've ever had to deal with. Extremely understaffed, no care for students, expects all students to be perfect, terrible special education, fake employees. So much bullying and it's only K-5!!!Parent Review2y ago15 Reviews - Pioneer Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe hallways are super crowded and the kids at the school don't have respect towards others. Some of the teachers make learning difficult by adding distractions in their lesson plans. The bus drivers are really fast! They aren't afraid to cut right in front of cars and they drive extremely fast. This school is very crowded and there are over 800 students in the building. I have only seen one kid in a wheel chair out of the whole school. Some of the teachers I have are really encouraging and let you sit with your friends but others sometimes make you feel like you don't belong. One of my teachers like to pull kids hoodies to choke them, open soda cans in children's ears, blast SUPER loud music when trying to do our work. I have made some good friends here but there are a lot of unmannered and disrespectful people here. Students aren't afraid to push you around in the hallways and. The recess is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE there are so many children rushing to come inside all at once especially all of the boys. They separate us by boys and girls which is super tricky when you don't identify as either or just have different pronouns. If the girls go in first they all have to watch out because all the boys will come behind them and push and shove and don't care if others get hurt. In the bathrooms they are horrible there's writing in the stalls and food on the ground and the cleanliness around the school is horrible there is chewed up gum in the water fountains and they don't even care to clean it! This school has more bad things than good. The Spanish teachers aren't even hispanic! I've seen a whole lot of bullying as well and all of the class have 30+ children which makes it super hard to learn & focus. Also as I noticed that this school has a lot of white people and there aren't many diverse teachers. Many of the children in the hallways care more about appearance than their actual learning or grades. They have honor roll programs such as NJHS and you do community service and most of the students at this school are on the honor roll. I have met some very nice people and also many very very unkind people at this school. Students don't find learning at this school fun or exciting and would rather go home or hang out with their friends than be at school and they don't enjoy even coming here. I have only heard one person say they liked going to this school. This school has more cons than pros at this school and that isn't necessarily a good thing.Other Review3y ago2 Reviews - Salem High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a former Salem student, I can honestly say that I will never allow my future children to step foot in this school. This is a school that deeply prioritizes the over achieving, and ignores everyone else. Teachers and administrators shame students with lower grade point averages rather than helping them improve. Vast majority of the student body feels forgotten, invisible and helpless. A very large amount of the student population has severe mental health issues, for which they provide few resources. However, Salem does have an incredible counseling team. Sadly, they are painfully overwhelmed, and finding someone to talk to is virtually impossible during busy months. Several faculty members are highly unprofessional, and complain about their jobs to students. Majority of their complaints centered around their dismay towards the Salem principal, and their compensation. Some teachers had so much social drama going on it felt like watching a reality show. If you are looking for a school where your child will feel forgotten, unintelligent, and depressed Salem is the place for you! Anyone moving to the Plymouth-Canton area should factor in the price of private high school. (I would recommend St. Catherine's, Divine Child and Father Gabriel Richard)Other Review4y ago9 Reviews - Canton High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated in 2023, and this school definitely prepares you for college. P-CEP offers a wide variety of advanced and AP courses, which is helpful. However, it's incredibly easy to feel lonely at this school because of how many students there are. With almost 7,000 students, it's difficult to retain friendships unless you're a part of the same club. Never expect the ability to have lunch with your friends unless you're both in some special program that guarantees it. Throughout my time at P-CEP, at least one student has taken their own life almost every year, and there have been multiple gun and bomb threats that have led to lockdowns. Overall, good school for learning and college preparation, but not so great at providing students with mental and emotional support.Other Review2y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 48837 Stanton Ct E.

"I have lived in Canton, MI since 1995. The community is rated as one of the safest in Michigan. The Summit on the Park is an awesome place to live with a large community center, ponds, walking trails, a golf coarse running through the subdivision and beautiful homes. Cherry Hill Village is a new development that also attracts many people. Sunflower subdivision has two pools, two club houses, tennis courts and many large park areas with walking paths that is an affordable area within Canton. Canton also has several long biking trails.
