4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my children have attended or are currently attending Banks Road ES. My oldest started in 2016 for Kindergarten and at this time the Great Schools rating was 9/10. During the past 3 years, the school environment, staff and administration has declined immensely. My youngest and oldest have been the victim of bullying. Most recently my youngest has been on the receiving end of physical and sexual violence at the hands of another student. The solution: separate the two students in line. Administration and staff have lost control of the children at Banks. They are running the school with no repercussions. Students fighitng in hallways, students yelling at teachers, students standing on urinals to peek over stalls at other students, bullying, fighting, staff who seem to be barely hanging on -- and Banks Road adminstration and Wake County Public Schools adminstration have not been able to curtail the issues that continue to occur. I have heard so many stories similar to my children's stories from other parents in the past 6 years. What has happened? What is WCPSS going to do? If I had a choice, I would not send my child to this school. Protect your children because Banks Road ES and WCPSS will not at this school.Parent Review2y ago12 Reviews - Willow Spring High

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagei went to high school and at first it was rough, with it being a brand new school with no history. But after a while it got better, the people there and the community around it was nice. The principal was also some what of a pain but it’s there job to enforce rules and stuff like I guess. Overall i would say yes, this school has its pros and cons but at the end of the day it was fun for all four years.Other Review4mo ago1 Reviews - Herbert Akins Road Middle

"Shelly lake is nearby. A nice area to go for a walk. The area has great schools. Children shouldn’t be too noisy living in the condo buildings since they’re older buildings, and you can hear what the neighbors are doing"

"There are many family oriented community activities and events that take place throughout the year, and such a great quality environment to be surrounded with, especially the nice parks! The area is one of the best locations Raleigh has to offer in my opinion! It is a short distance to any of the surrounding towns/cities as well. While the communities are constantly building/growing/expanding around us, it is still such a quiet/peaceful neighborhood."
