This is my last year at J N Fries and my last two years have been the worst years ever, I’m barely motivated to do anything anymore because this school has ruined that. Most of the teachers have very little respect for students and do not teach well by giving very little explanation on assignments and are bad at explaining subjects we work on, they also set their expectations for students way too high. There are a very little amount of teachers that are actually decent. Half of the time there aren’t even actual teachers there to teach! Last year I didn’t have a true math teacher and had a substitute which ruined my math grades because none of the substitutes were experienced, same with social studies because my teacher had left on maternity lead which led to us having no teacher. This school also lacks communication between teacher and guardian, unfortunately the principal’s communication with guardians aren’t any better. As for safety, the drama at this school is horrible, leading to at least one fight each month. At one point there was a kid who stuck pencil leg into an outlet and nearly lit the class on fire. This school presents itself as a ‘stem school’ but honestly the ‘stem’ projects are horrible and not engaging. Teachers do nothing about bullying within this school (sometimes may even laughing about some of the jokes made against others) and the students are horrible which make learning even harder for other students because the teachers are always yelling at them and are unable to teach properly. I am a good student at this school; I am in an advanced ELA class and have not gotten in trouble once my last years, so for a student like me to make a poor review like this must say something. Parents, do not send your child here if you want them to enjoy their middle school years and please do whats best for your child and their mental health.

My daughter moved to Jay M Robinson her Sophomore year and had a wonderful experience during her time there. Her teachers were always supportive, had great communication and the curriculum was challenging in a positive way. The school offers many extra curricular activities and plenty of courses to help woth career readiness. She recently graduated and was proud to be a Bulldog.

Great school for all kinda kids to learn and motivate themselves for the bright future.
