The teachers at Oak Valley care about kids. They follow a rigorous curriculum and offer higher level math classes. Students have the opportunity to attend the prestigious International Academy for High School (rated #1 IB school - check it out!) . Oak Valley is a safe school, and provides a nurturing learning atmosphere. If you value high academic standards for your child, then I highly recommend Oak Valley Middle School.

Definitely do not recommend this place if you have any sort of need. They do not want to help and they won’t. I told the Vice Principal it may be better to just homeschool my child that was needing extra help. He responded “yeah good idea”. I do not feel safe with my child there either. The overall environment is poor. Look for somewhere else to send your child.

the school is overcrowded and clearly don’t care about the students mental or physical wellbeing, just getting a paycheck. (except for the social studies teachers—they’re great. all of them :D)

Certain teachers are rude to both kids and parents. When we go through the car pick up each day, I have seen the one teacher bang into kids, when she is not watching where she's going, she has tugged on kids arms and also yelled at them, I am not sure how this is acceptable behavior, especially for an adult/teacher gym and technology substitute. Additionally, the Music teacher is rude to the parents. Recently, at a school event I saw him speaking rudely to a parent, it sounded like verbal bullying. Not acceptable behavior from adults working with the public.
