As a parent of a current 6th grader, I would strongly recommend St. Clairsville Middle School. I have confidence in the staff and curriculum. They challenge my daughter and work with her to assure her success. Their are MANY clubs, activities, and extracurricular activities for students to become involved. The music and arts department are top notch, as well as the athletic teams. The school staff incorporates character education into the curriculum daily and handles bullying promptly and effectively. I would strongly recommend St. C Middle to parents of middle school children.

This is honestly a terrible school that I wouldn’t recommend sending anyone. With the exception of the the sports teams everything else about this school is terrible. Most the teachers may as well be babysitters as they just assign videos, slides, or papers typically along with an assignment telling them to complete it without doing any of the teaching part. Another reason I couldn’t recommend going here is they clearly don’t care about their students at all as last year a student died in a car accident and they never even mentioned him not even an extra moment of silence in the announcements, they also took away a major tool that helped many students do their tasks and helped with their mental health while supplying an outdated laptop (which they blocked almost everything on because who needs to be happy) and 1 charger as a replacement if you lose that charger at all (I lost it once in 2 years and the $25 insurance doesn’t cover that), good luck as they outright refuse to give you another one and punish you for needing to charge it there. Yet another way they have shown me they don’t care about their students are doing nothing about bullying I have a few friends who apparently have been getting bullied since middle school by this football player (they’re now sophomores) and supposedly (I’ve not seen anything but im a junior who recently arrived) he verbally assaults them with a few times where he got physical. They both apparently told the teachers about it and they did absolutely nothing to stop it. Another reason to avoid this place is that they way overprice everything some examples are an $80 yearbook, a $3.50 smoothie sold in a 4 pack at $7.88 in Walmart, and $20+ to take a test. As a student here I would highly suggest you put your kids into an online school or a neighboring school before coming here.

It's a great school with well educated teachers and staff. I would rate it a 10+
