Description

Welcome to 471 Mount Street, a warm and inviting home that has been lovingly cared for and thoughtfully updated. Located in a charming neighborhood known for its tight-knit community, this 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom property is ready for its next chapter. Inside, the house has received a host of updates designed to make it as functional as it is beautiful. The hall bathroom has been expertly renovated, with new custom cabinetry, updated plumbing, and modern tilework. The guest bathroom and laundry room have also undergone extensive framing, drywall, and electrical upgrades. Throughout the home, new doors, light fixtures, and fresh paint create an inviting, move-in-ready atmosphere. The hardwood floors have been refinished, and new tile has been installed in key spaces like the kitchen and bathrooms. Other improvements include a new 200-amp electrical panel, updated plumbing, and waterproofing. Step into the expansive backyard, where large rocks have been added to create raised beds, and drought-resistant plants like sagebrush and toyon thrive. Fruit trees, including Meyer lemons and Asian pears along with vibrant succulents soak up the California sunshine. The space has been designed with care to support both the beauty of nature and the needs of the modern homeowner.

"some parts are safe and some aren’t, there’s hit or miss areas. would like to move out from richmond preferably ."
  • Trulia User
"We don’t really have any. There’s the national night out and maybe a block party every so often, but mostly everyone does their own thing. "
  • Trulia User
"Excellent. I work at home. So I don’t have to drive right now. When I did, it was the most terrifying seven miles on Eastbound 80 into West Berkeley. Almost always. It was not healthy. "
  • Cal L.
"Pretty quiet and uneventful. I’ve lived in the area 5 years. Near open spaces for hiking, biking. And a close grocery store and freeway access"
  • Shanda C.
"Many families live in this neighborhood. Super friendly neighbors, easy walk to the Del Norte BART station along the very safe bike/walking path. We love it!"
  • KJ D.
"easy to Bart. bike friendly. Takes an hour into SF usually but that's Bay life. Ferry is close, Bart is close"
  • Jennifer.cogley
"I love living here. great neighbors ... slower pace... wonderful gardens. terrific mix of people and cute houses!"
  • Shanda C.
"Easy access to both 580 and 80. Walking path to the Del Norte BART station. 7 minutes to Amtrak. 14 minutes to the SF ferry. Commuters dream. "
  • Deechcr
"Diverse, friendly and central/convenient to get to most of the entire Bay and wine country within 45 minutes. "
  • Aderbal Dermenjian
"Silence and nature, we have many markets around and we don’t need to leave everything to buy something "
  • Jennifer.cogley
"I love this place. great neighbors, well kept homes, cool gardens. close to parks and freeways. great deal."
  • Jennifer
"lots of people walk their dogs. people are also very good about cleaning up after them too. neighborhood toy drive going on now for the holidays. "
  • Jason Y.
"I have lived in East Richmond Heights for 6 years now and I love the diversity. The trade off is the high crime rate but it is well worth it. "
  • Gmomendoza08
"Great location, low to non existent crime. 20+ years living here it only gets better. Narrow streets tho"
  • Imnewhere
"We have a wonderful view of the bay. If you like biking, we have challenging hills for you to try out."
  • luis
"Great value for money. The best of both worlds: safety and privacy of Berkeley mountains access to San Francisco Bay Area at very affordable prices."
  • Steven R.
"I grew up in this little hood and I love it here. As a kid I remember exploring Wildcat Canyon Regional Park like it was my own backyard. I still spend a lot of time there hiking, biking and dog walking. It's one of the few wild open spaces that allows dogs off-leash. "
  • mysolosusan
"I've lived in the area, and am now looking for a house to get back into the area. The public school, Mira Vista, is excellent, very good parent participation. There's no crime to speak of, traffic is minimal, and neighbors are friendly. It's not a real walking neighborhood in the sense of going to the store or parks on foot. But it's clean and nice to walk around in for fun. There's an organic grocery at the bottom of the hill, and it's ten minutes to Kensington for shopping and breakfast. This is a really pretty ten minutes with one traffic light and easy-going light traffic. It's about 12 minutes to Solano to Andronico's, and tons of restaurants. Bus takes you to Solano in ten minutes, to Shattuck/University in Berkeley in about fifteen minutes. This area is kind of a hidden jewel, and I hope it stays as laid back and easy-going as it is now."
