I love this school. Mrs. Harper is a great principal. Her strength shows through and she always has a smile on her face.The kids really look up to her but aren't scared of her. Mrs Price remembers all of the kids names. She has always been so helpful to me as a parent new to having a child in school. Those are just 2 of the important wonderful staff members at Mason, such a welcoming safe school. I also like that the akron police are always patrolling the area. Especially for the walkers!

As a parent, my experience with East CLC left me concerned about how bullying situations were handled. While the school promotes a commitment to student safety, reports of bullying involving my child did not appear to receive consistent follow-up or resolution. As a result, my child did not feel adequately protected.During meetings with administration, my child felt uncomfortable and discouraged from fully sharing their experience, which made it difficult to address the situation effectively. This created added stress for both my child and our family during an already challenging time.Additionally, there was a lack of clarity regarding whether bullying incidents were formally documented and submitted according to school district procedures. Without clear documentation or accountability, the issues continued without meaningful improvement.East CLC may be a good fit for some families, but from a parent’s perspective, there is a need for stronger communication, transparency, and consistent enforcement of anti-bullying policies to ensure students truly feel safe and supported.
