"Neighborhood parties for holiday and sporting events. There are local concerts. The neighborhood is filled with children who organize their own sporting events and pickup games. Walkers, runners and bikers—often whole families—can be seen outside whenever the weather is nice. "

"Quiet, peaceful village of neighborhood communities. Most homes have families with 2-4 children, average age about 8. Most families have 1 stay at home parent. Average education seems to be masters degree. About one quarter of the families seem to be Military or Military contractors. "

"I am a local agent and also have many friends that live in this area. Some are retired people and others are still working. This area is a short hop to Hwy 1 for a sort commute to Bragg or the Raleigh area. There are lots of parks and lakes in the Whispering Pines area that residents are welcome to either walk, bike or drive to. The Country Club is nestled in the community and offers a place to eat, swim and a beautiful golf course. There are two new shopping centers with eateries for your pleasure. This area is considered the Jewel of the Sandhills by many. If offers a peaceful and quite community while giving you everything at your finger tips or just minutes away. The hospital, medical community and Community College are a short drive away . Classes are discounted for seniors. "

"If you're looking for great night life or lots of kids activities than do not look here. This area is fairly slow paced and we joke about the village bedtime being 9 PM. On the other hand, a very safe village where you can actually get to know your neighbor."
