Sciots tract is one of the most popular Forest Service cabin tracts in the area. It has a year round water system and amazing access into Eldorado National Forest. This cabin has been loved by the same family for over 60 years. You can feel the love and the history as you walk in. The large deck off the living room is a great place to spend the evenings after you get back from your hike/bike/climb/fishing trip. The American River, as seen in these pictures, runs through the tract, and local points of interest are Lovers Leap, Desolation Wilderness, Strawberry, Phantom Spires and both the American river and the Silverfork river. There is a club house and playground. The community has events you can join such as ice cream socials, pot lucks and games. If you want to have a night on the town, South Lake Tahoe is only 15 miles away. Pictures of the river are not from the cabin. The sqft is only the footprint. Estimated sqft would be 900 sqft. Downstairs bathroom has been remodeled. There is a half bath upstairs so you don't have to navigate the stairs at night. Sold furnished.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my children attended Silverfork, one K through 8th grade and the other K through 6th. Silverfork is able to give attention to students that a larger school or large classroom cannot. The teachers were always aware of each individual child, their needs and what motivations worked best for them. The school itself is steeped in history and they continue much of that tradition today with the plays and musical performances they have always put on for the Christmas program. Parental involvement has always been encouraged which have given the kids lessons in golf, gardening, music, horticulture, agriculture and even knitting. This close-knit community tends to be very involved in the school on a regular basis and I truly feel my children are better for having attended.Parent Review7y ago - El Dorado High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is an Italian exchange student who now attends El Dorado High School, and from her evaluations I can tell that the teachers and everyone who works in the school and offices help her every day.They have welcomed her with affection and are really understanding.All the teachers care about her days and even the administrative staff has always helped her with everything.She has also integrated into the school volleyball team-the coach and teammates are wonderful to her.All this for us parents, who have a daughter on the other side of the world, is a source of serenity.I thank everyone for the opportunity given to my daughter who is happy to attend El Dorado High School every day.Thank' sParent Review1y ago
