Hello, I used to be a student here and must I say this school isn't the best. I had a really bad experience with a special education teacher. One day we all had state testing which the kids who are apart of the program usually get taken out of the big classes and go to a smaller class or the lunchroom. I was talking after I was done testing but the others weren't done I had become a distraction to other students that were testing so I got pulled out the lunchroom so the special education teacher could talk to my homeroom teacher. We start arguing for a long time to the point where we both start yelling and yes I will admit I was a bad kid but I always had good grades and stayed on top of my work 24/7. In the middle of the argument I say " I will not keep talking to you if you keep screaming in my face" after I said that I start to walk away. I am wearing a hoodie while walking away when the teacher pulled the hood of my hoodie back, choking me. I pushed him off and ran into my counselor's office. I start telling my counselor what happened and my homeroom teacher comes into the room. she starts crying saying "you need to see how upset you get people. you make people do things they don't want to do due to your actions". trying to blame me the 6TH GRADER after a teacher put their hands on a minor. CPS had talked to me and my mom was going to file a police report if they didn't do anything about it we asked for footage and we got nothing even though they had a camera pointing in our direction my mom never filed it because they said they would solve it. next year comes he is still in the same building also I did act out a lot that is no reason to put hands on a MINOR especially if the minor never put hands on ANY ADULT. this proves that the school does NOTHING TO HELP. I promise they will lie to your face but since they have the title "priceable and vice priceable " their more trust worthy. do NOT let your children go to a school they are not 100% fully taken care of.
