I just want to say that I'm a graduate from this school in 1992. For anybody worried about the lack of small-town school opportunities, I'll tell you the truth. I was a highly gifted art student, and there was not adequate classes available for my abilities. So the administration created a custom curriculum for me, created the classes I needed, and saw to it that I graduated with the education that I desired. I now work in Television as a creative services writer and producer. My successful career led me to work in Tucson, Arizona, Raleigh, North Carolina, and I now work in Sacramento California. I never saw a lack of opportunity. I just went out and grabbed it. A few years ago I drove through Galatia on a road trip. It was eerie standing outside that old gray building after nearly twenty years. On my way out of town I stopped for gas, and there was my old retired principal. I apologized to him for being a troublemaker (believe me... I was) and he told me he remembered none of that, and all that mattered was that I was able to a good education. I'm so very thankful for that.
