We had naive high hopes that this would be a sweet and loving neighborhood school. When you talk to other parents their experiences mirror ours but they resign themselves to accepting it. Bullying is epidemic - we saw physical (kid to kid, physical fights including a group of older children attacking a much younger child) as well as emotional and verbal bullying in a myriad of forms sadly from both adults and children. The staff admitted that there is a bullying problem but are not invested in facilitating a better environment and are not fully forthright with parents. I have heard from many parents needing more support than we did that they have had to fight to be heard. They were disrespected and rebuffed by administrators. Summarily, regardless of your situation, expect to have to advocate. I would look elsewhere if you are able, have heard far better reports from parents at the other LF public schools. I have met those that say they love it, but they seem to be trying to convince themselves more than anything even after admitting to their own negative experiences. Maybe it works for you but maybe it doesn’t. Overall, I would ascertain that the environment distracts from academic progress. Best of luck.

My two boys studied here and they both got incredible education and made lifelong friends.Yes, it is a fact that this community comprises of mostly wealthy families but we have seen so far are just regular kids. DPM prepared our kids well for high school. One of them went to a top 5 college in the nation for his discipline. We are thankful to the wonderful DPM that paved the way for their success.

My kid got served raw food, students told him to kill himself and they stabbed my child with a plastic knife.

Quite possibly the best education any child would be lucky enough to receive in this country. The environment is geared toward learning and advancement toward college and a professional career. Teachers are engaging and knowledgeable. The only hit or miss is the administrative staff. Solid school, solid education along with a great athletic program. Highly recommend LFHS
