The teachers and vice principal are bigger bullies then the students who attended, and they continuously get away with the harm they do. This alone rates it as a -10 review because school is supposed to be a safe place. Period.Changing schools in the middle of the year for a 6th grader is stressful....but for my child, it's a relief and she anxiously awaits the day, because of THIS SCHOOL AND ITS TEACHERS, MULTIPLE, NOT JUST ONE.Also, attempting to get any clarification or instruction past the bare minimum for academic work is like seeing pigs actually fly.

I’ve had two children go through this high school, and both graduated in the top ten of their class. The school played an important role in preparing them for college, not only academically but also by supporting their individual goals.One experience that really stood out was when my son needed a higher-level math class that was not offered at the school in order to meet the requirements for Maine Maritime Academy. Rather than simply placing him in an online course, the school went above and beyond to find a teacher who could work with him one-on-one. That extra effort made a real difference and showed how much the staff cared about helping him succeed.We are very grateful for the dedication, flexibility, and personal attention this school provided. It is clear that the teachers and administration are committed to helping students reach their full potential. I would highly recommend this school to families looking for a supportive environment that prepares students well for the future.

Small town school with a handful of kids in each class room. The teacher are able to spend more time with each child. They see what areas the children s strengths or weaknesses are and can provide the children that are below average grade level, at or above grade level work in any area, math reading, science sports etc. the kind of work they can do. These kids do very well here. They also have great after school programs for all the kids to enjoy. They get a little bit exposure to many things. As well as many field trips. My grandchild has been doing above grade level work since moving here. This child was failing in the larger class room setting in MA. The teachers and the parent didn't know the talent for reading and math. Second grade the teacher saw that the child could slip into 3rd grade words, started reading 3rd grader books. We go to the library weekly. My grandchild s Math skills started to show up in grade 2. Then in grade 3 got the Algebra award, WOW! Reading at a four grade level. I see that the homework is done and push the reading. This bright child that would have fallen through the cracks if not for the move to this small town of Andover, Maine.
