I am writing this review mainly to correct the misinformation in the reviews above mine that are filled with idiocy. I am 1996 graduate of this school which was the 2nd year of the operation of this facility. I have a college degree and a good career in Engineering. I have one daughter that graduated in 2017 and 4 more that are currently enrolled at Dade County High School. I also know several teachers who do currently or have in the past taught there. Firstly, there is not a teacher in this school that would tell a child to quit school. In fact, I would say most schools don't have teachers that would say or do this. This is a ridiculous accusation. Secondly, the teachers shouldn't be communicating with parents very much at all unless the child is out of control and disrupting the classroom or starting trouble. I have my kids communicate with teachers and coaches because when they get into the real world, they will need these skills to further themselves. I can't always be there for them. The school maintains a system with grades entered by teachers. The parents can log into to view a students grades and progress throughout the year. This system has been in place for a long time since at least 2013 when my kids came here. Lastly, the school isn't "old". It was built in 1995 and has been updated over the years. It's a large school with plenty of classrooms room and great facilities. We have onsite football, baseball, softball, tennis and basketball facilities unlike some other places. We pay plenty of taxes to keep our schools updated in this county and the county does a fine job doing that with all schools. I'm not here to say our school is awesome or great. However, I do believe that it is definitely on par with surrounding schools because my kids came from a neighboring school. I'm just a parent that realizes that some parents are idiots and blame everyone but their own kid and those kids are trouble makers that affect the education of my own kids.

This school system since we moved here has been terrible. My children have been bullied, sexually harrassed and have had very little support especially from the middle school. Nothing is ever hardly done with any allegations, but yet my kids are the ones that get treated like they are the problem. The kids have to be like Christ or they get written up for the dumbest of things. No child should come home from school feeling dumb worthless and feel like they can't trust the very people that are suppose to to help them, but yet mine do. I would never recommend this school or school system to anyone and can't wait for the day I can pull my kids from this harmful enviroment!
