As a current student, I can say that LMMS doesn't really focus on its education, but instead on sports, music, arts, and other extracurriculars. They are so focused on this that some of the people that are in theater, buzz tv, cadence etc. think they are so much better then everyone else and are only friends with people in those clubs. The teachers are a hit or miss. Some are great, while others not so much, but majority of them are great! Many teachers do favor the honors class and treat them nicer (though the kids are not any better then the on level kids). Most people get stressed out with homework, but honestly the teachers are very understanding about other activities and are flexible with work for outside of class. The parents are not really connected with the school except with emails, but some don't even get those. All the students are very separated by teams, so if your friends are on a diffrent team, you will very likely not see them and when you do, you are most likely competing against them.

The school provides little to no supports for individuals from low income families which keeps the barriers that prevent those families from becoming involved in their students education existent. I think that the staff and administration and teachers don’t have the proper training to be able to identify potential problems in the home Which affect the child’s education. These are pretty basic skills that anyone working with children should have.

Wonderful school, goals for academics are clear and support is readily provided. Two of my children attended this school, the educational requirements at times appeared heavy but with a slight adjustment during off time we noticed leaps and bounds of achievement in conjunction with consistent comunication and heeding requested recommendations froms the school. Child and parent involvement is strongly encouraged as it should be, a school can always use additional participation but overall appears steady. Parents, you have a mix of working class parents in blue and white collar jobs and also a steady click of stay at home moms.
