"Easy access to train and cities. Princeton is 3-4 mikes and has a lot restaurants, museums, nature, history and architecture. Plenty of farms, golf, tennis, fishing and hiking trails. Great dog park. Schools are in top ranking of US. "
  • Nbenedetto19
"not good access to major interstate. good for local commutes to princeton and other big pharma but getting to north jersey is not great"
  • Sue
"To live in Skillman, means you will need to own a car to get to get around. That said, it’s been a great community to raise a family."
  • Sue
"The schools are great! Worth the high property taxes. Great place to raise a family. I’d highly recommend having a family here. This community is welcoming to all individuals."
  • Schmittm1
"The Sourland Mountain area is a perfect place to live if you love nature and privacy without loosing the feeling of community. Many hiking trails and quiet areas, yet only minutes from restaurants in Princeton and Hopewell, and about and hour to Philly and NYC. Schools are excellent, and the neighbors are amazing (and not as pretentious as Princeton)!!!!!!!! I couldn't think of a better place to live! I love it here!"
  • Alicia T.
"This is a great area to raise a family; top rated Montgomery Schools 50 min train commute to NYC friendly town and beautiful farmland surroundings . Skillman is the top rated town with easy access to Princeton University and town. "
  • Scarletaquatic
"Anyone rating Montgomery Twp. schools at less than Excellent doesn't know what they're talking about. Also, there is a high density of private schools of the highest quality (well, and price...) in the immediate area. This is a spotlessly clean suburban community boarding on some of the most attractive rural areas in the mid-atlantic. Only real negative is lack of public transportation."
  • zolota
