8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs the former mayor of Lafayette Academy, I can’t express enough gratitude for the incredible three years I spent there. Before I joined Lafayette, I was a quiet, reserved individual who preferred to stay in the background. However, this school transformed me, helping me break out of my shell and grow into a more confident person. The teachers at Lafayette are nothing short of amazing. They are not only skilled professionals but also deeply caring mentors who have made a lasting impact on my life. Now, having graduated, I’m preparing for an exciting new chapter at The Urban Assembly Gateway School for Technology, where I’ll be spending the next four years of my life. While I’m eager to embrace this new adventure, I know I’ll always carry a piece of Lafayette with me. The friendships I've made and the lessons I've learned will stay with me, and I can’t wait to return and visit the school that helped shape me into who I am today.Other Review1y ago15 Reviews - The Global Learning Collaborative

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Global Learning Collaborative and my experience was deeply troubling. The school consistently failed to support students with different abilities — accommodations were minimal or nonexistent and staff often dismissed students’ needs. Respect and professionalism felt absent: teachers and administrators were frequently disrespectful toward students and parents. Most alarmingly, the gym teacher repeatedly used highly offensive language toward female students. His in-class music choices are also inappropriate for a school setting (I have video evidence).I reported problems multiple times, but the response was inadequate and dismissive. I don’t feel this environment is safe or nurturing for learners, especially those who need extra support. Families should be aware and ask detailed questions before enrolling. I sincerely hope the district investigates these issues and takes decisive action to protect students.Other Review8mo ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 45 E 89th St #35D.
