"I love this town! I grew up here in Ortonville, and lived at my childhood home for 21 years, and now some years later here I am back in Ortonville again. If you live on any of the dirt roads you’ll know that it’s feel’s just secluded enough like you’re living in the country (not the creepy boonies either with nobody around), but just a quick drive to see Ortonville’s quaint small town charm, the surrounding towns aren’t too far away either. Here in Ortonville the people are pretty friendly, usually welcoming, most of us all grew up and went to school together. We’re a somewhat close knit community, during the holidays there’s almost always some type of downtown event’s happening. My personal favorite is The Annual Witch Pub Crawl 🧙🏻‍♀️🍻 is always a great time, and for some Family holiday fun the downtown Christmas event walk around and see all the decorations check out the old mill and old city hall. Also there’s vendors roasting chestnuts and selling Hot Cocoa."

"We have lived in Ortonville since 2019. We absolutely love it out here. It’s a great mix of country and city right down the street. Easy access to I-75 and many state parts are near by. "
  • Scott.bannerton
"Almost seven years in this neighborhood. 39 one acre lots with very nice homes. Neighbors are young and energetic. Children seem to be very nice as well. "
  • Shannon Maiorana
"My commute is a mix between dirt backroads and streets. In the winter and when it rains, the back roads can get pretty bad. "
  • Shannon Maiorana
"We have events like Witche’s night and food trucks that are held downtown that bring our community together. "

  • Mark B.
"No public transportation and my commute is minimal . The commute for most during the rush hour would be guessing at around 45 minutes."
  • KimberlyandDonald N.
"The Memorial Day parade and Homecoming parades are very nice. The special presentation at the cemetery and the flags are a wonderful reflection on those who have fought and passed away. Very low crime. "
  • Scott
"Great place to live yee yee! Country living but close commute to Metro Detroit. Most people wave on the back roads. "
  • Jwieten
"I do not commute to work daily since I work from home, it does take a while to get to the airport, but there are multiple ways. "
  • KimberlyandDonald N.

"This area is quiet, private and peaceful. It's off the main road, but close to I 75 for an easy commute to Detroit or Lansing. The neighborhood is beautifully maintained with pleasant people. The schools are exemplary. Skiing, biking, beaches, parks, pools, equestrian trails and entertainment within 15 minutes. This is an excellent location!"
  • lcole4294
"Great area!! Quiet, private rural splendor. Big fish park around the corner as well as other parks with lake and fishing access. shooting range and equestrian/snowmobile park 10mins away. Ortonville is a quiescent small town with great people. Public activities on weekends such as music, food and bon fires."
