DCES is a great elementary school. . My son has enjoyed his time in KG and First grade at this school. The principal is very involved along with all staff. The school takes great care to ensure students are learning and growing in a safe nurturing environment.

The reviews of the school are good because of the demographics. It is a super rich area where parents who are immigrants of hard working cultures support their students through OUTSIDE institutions and such. The school looks like it was built with the cheapest materials nearby. The teachers are racist, have favorites, have mood swings all the time, are terrible at their jobs, etc. etc. The counselors and admin are terrible. All of the learning happens at home, and school is just a 7 hour waste of time.
