They need to re evaluate their teachers. Most of them just give assignments that even I can do as a parent. They don’t teach to prep them for grade level. If child can’t teach themself they are screwed. The principal lies and put kids in situations where instead of being motivated and engaged they are geared towards being lazy and do bare minimal just like the teachers are themselves.

Great school with staff who has been here for years, that are part of the community, give so much. The community is caring, diverse, and supportive. We love this school!

As a younger sister, I don't focus on my elder siblings very much however, as my sibling's senior year began, I noticed something off. I have never written a review to anyplace good or bad, but I believe if I don't write something about my concern now, many more will suffer. Lindy Torres who is a AP Physics at TUSD West High School is THE WORST TEACHER TO EXIST. I have never seen my sibling so emotionally, physically, and mentally suffer from one class even though she has taken six other AP classes. Lindy Torres gives no lectures, no homework for practice, she gives daily tests and quizzes, and when a student asks a question, Lindy is terrible at discussing and explaining topics (she never explains topics anyways, which clearly shows). She leaves school right when the bell rings which is harder for many students who have after school questions. She will have a lab in class if not a test or quiz, along with the lab a thoroughly completed CER along with answering lab questions. Teachers are here to explain topics for free to students in a public school, not in this school I guess. My sister had to get private tutoring for Physics and when my sister explained what will be on the test and when, even the tutor, who has a PhD in physics said, "These are the three of the biggest topics of Physics! Your teacher giving you only two days to review for your test is absolutely unacceptable and impossible!". Considering no teaching being done in the classroom, she should at least give more time. I demand Lindy Torres to be fired from this school. She does not care about students, only her job. After a complain to the office about her, she gave a powerpoint presentation about the simple parts of a topic and said to my sister, "Are you happy I did a lecture today?" If someone gave the worst and driest explaination about anything, they are doing nothing. A teachers job is to engage the student in class and the subject, not to drive them away. Whether the teacher may teach at a university or elementary school, they need to make students fall in love with the subject, not hate it.
