This store, which carried everything that could be found in a first class dry goods, grocery, hardware and drug store housed the fanciest soda fountain in the South. The store is being restored to its earlier splendor. A "stone's throw" from this property is the gathering place for local musicians. Each Sunday afternoon the hollow comes alive as musicians "make music" together. They bring their musical instruments including banjos, fiddles, and guitars to play and sing the evening away. The winding country road that this property is located on ends at Sugar Creek. This area of Sugar Creek, within walking distance of the property for sale, is also an official historical site. It is the place of the Civil War battlefield at Sugar Creek which was one of the last battles of the Civil War.
