"Nice neighbors, friendly hometown atmosphere. schools are good. Real family atmosphere. Only has a small grocery store, but they are friendly and often get to know you by name."

"I live here in Oakland and what I like about Oakland the most is that it is a family oriented area. It is safe, has a low crime rate and is with in walking distance to Schools, restaurants, entertainment and more. There are many community events and a great deal of community involvement including wine tours and tastings, quilting shows, talent shows, music in the park, city wide garage sales, and much much more. The schools in Oakland are rated very high in the score cards, and are also very involved in the community and the community in them. "
