i had issues with an assistent that works in the lunch room to supervise students naned maria she was a bit unprofessional telling students to "shut up" also would make my daughter cry at times.. i addressed this issue with the principle and she took care of it promptly. the problems there stopped. i love mrs wood she is fantastic all kids love her. my daughter struggles with math but has great teachers who are patient with her and really try hard to work with her and her needs. mrs karr and smith smith are amoung my lists of great teachers as well. there are sometimes issues with bullying that we have with one student in my daughters 6th grade class but that has followed her over from franklin since 4th grade teachers are good at listening to my long vents and keeping an extra eye on on these types of situations and these things will be at all schools no matter where you go.

I’ve gone to three high schools, and this one was by far the worst. After a bullying incident here my junior year, my guidance counselor showed ME an anti-bullying video and then moved my lunch to a study hall so I wouldn’t have to be near the girls. The next year one of my bullies got put up for a scholarship by the school. I called my guidance counselor to tell her that this was one of my bullies and she said there was nothing she could do about it. I emailed the principle and never got a response. I was a straight A student until this school, where I began struggling in my classes with no support from my counselor. If you care about your kids grades and mental health, don’t send them here.

I just had to review after reading the one review. I have 2 autistic children. One has moved on to middle school and the other is still attending Eisenhower. It's a great school, the paraprofessionals, teachers, even the principal were very engaged in both of my children's education. I had to pick up my daughter once because she tripped and got hurt (yeah that can happen). One of of the paras was tearful because she was heartbroken to see my little girl hurt. When I have encountered issues at the school, it's almost always a parent being completely inappropriate because there kid isn't getting good enough grades or got in trouble at the school. I do remember a kid getting suspended and later expelled that was autistic. He was referred to a school that specialized in behavioral disabilities. He'd had multiple episodes of hurting a teacher and 1 student and tried to throw a chair through the lobby window. It wasn't his fault, he had great difficulty with emotional regulation and was a saftey issue in that environment. I remember his mom screaming at the principal in the lobby because she had to pick him up. I've had to pick my daughter up before when she was emotionally disruptive. The school was closed most of 2020 due to Covid19. My child attended from 2018-2023. Absolutely great school.

It's a nice small school which allows better student-teacher interaction.

Do not let your child be at this school, they are more concerned with policy then the well-being of the children. It will not be uncommon to have the staff lack professionalism towards you and to be met with stern beliefs that do not foster a love for education.
