"Grant County as a whole is becoming an opioid crisis hotspot. I can't wait to leave the area, and the thieves and dirt bags are growing by the minute. Suggestion, Don't "Make it Marion" folks. "
  • John Z.

"Depending on where you live you can walk to a convenient store. You do need a car to get around. My commute is pretty easy as I am a couple of blocks away from the main street that leads to my workplace. "
  • Carmen
"I would not want to raise children here. It is questionable at best. We know our immediate neighbors but for those surrounding....we’d just assume not to know them. There are loud fights and police/ambulance lights consistently."
  • Hollyrandolph82
"Many ppl in my neighborhood own dogs. It is a dog friendly space. You can walk your dog in the field or track around the neighborhood school."
  • Terenda R.
"Need more street lights and sidewalks. The area is really quiet and a peaceful neighborhood. I have lived here for 10 years "
  • Brianna C.
"The neighborhood I live in isn't good at all. Got a drug dealer, alcoholic, nibby neighbors, I have gotten my property stolen and my property distroyed. They're are stray animals everywhere. People always driving through with their radios blasting, people always setting off fireworks late at night, kids always bouncing badketballs right outside my b dmeroom window at night and not to mention there was a drive by shooting just a couple houses down from mine not to long ago."
  • Mary A. M.
"my job is 5 minutes away from where I live....ccurrently the streets are under construction and the commute is ok"
  • Bethanyholman8
"the town of Marion is a tough town. kinda scary at night usually. just keep an eye on your kids. make sure your doors are locked. alot of shooting occur in town. if you live outside of marion it's alot safer! "
  • Dianalnall3069
"I have grown up in the area and dont plan on leaving this area anytime soon and grandbaby and children still live here"
  • Calebarod13
"It’s got weird neighbors but they are all pretty cool. I like that everybody is fairly nice as well."
  • tsavoh1
"I loved growing up here. Liked everything about living out in the country. This works great for kids who do not like being cooped up in the house, who enjoy getting out and roaming the yard, fields and nearby creek. Low traffic on the country roads meant we were free to ride our bikes up and down the road without a big fear of getting hit. Sweetser was close enough that we could ride into town to visit friends. Although it was not there when I was growing up, Sweetser now has the Sweetser Switch Trail for exercise. I would recommend it to anyone!"
