Be aware that bullying runs rampant at this school. We have been involved with teachers, the principal and counselor throughout the school year. The kids are disrespectful to each other and authority.

Academics do not seem like the priority when it comes to the students. The high school counselor has misfiled paperwork, resulting in students not receiving their deserved credits, and to get those credits to count, parents have to constantly call and stay on top of the school in hopes their credits will be honored. The counselor has advised students who she feels will not be successful not take their ACT's and has held back applications for local scholarships, so favored students who she feels will be more successful will have a higher chance of receiving the local scholarships. During discussions at parent teacher confences, the teachers put it on the student as being 'lazy' if they do not retain the curriculum instead of thinking outside of the box and learning how their student learns best. If the child is put on an IEP, the teaching staff will pick and choose what they feel is appropriate and what they feel applys putting a child who is already at risk at a high deficient
