I am a sophomore in the band program at mesa high. I would like to say I enjoy this school but there needs to be some updates. The school board focuses on student athletics, don't get me wrong but there are so many other great programs at this school, for example, our clubs, the performing arts program, our AP classes, our FAFSA program, etc... But here's the thing teachers are great, except the students, but the board does not. I will say that I was not doing ok mentally but we have our awesome social workers, and they will help. This school also helps with getting college credits early WE have the ACE program and many dual enrollment classes. One thing I wish they did is to give the band a senior poster, because other schools do it, all of the sports have senior posters, so why can't we? The seniors put in lots of hard work for what they do. The teachers here are great I just wish the school board would focus on other things than sports. They need to acknowledge some students, not the student body.

We love Johnson! There are so many incredible teachers and so many that have 10, 15, 20+ year at Johnson! We have felt so supported and uplifted by the school and its staff. We came during a big transition period but I have been so pleased with how the Principal and other staff listen to parents. I’ve enjoyed the true community feel of this school and the events they host. I try to stay involved and appreciate feeling welcome on campus. My son has had an IEP and been making great progress every year. Staff are busy but have always been great about answering questions or concerns quickly and clearly.No school is perfect, but we are so happy to be part of the Jayhawk family!

not that good of a school. there is bad regulation of somethings. most students have a c or d or f. nearly no face to face teaching from teachers. confetti everywhere i walk. the music section is good. in conclusion not that good.
