Went to office and was not even acknowledged by any of the 5 people in office. Principal stood behind receptionist as both looked at the screen and discussed which student they were trying to identify. After 6 or 7 minutes I asked two students sitting in the lobby was there anywhere I could at least be recognized. They didn't know so I waited another 5 minutes or so before I said "can someone just acknowledge I an here". The receptionist looked up and told me she let me in and she was busy looking up something for the principal who said nothing. After several more minutes she took what I had for grandson and sarcastically said "have yourself a good day" and as sarcastically I told her to have one as well. There is never an excuse to ignore anyone who comes to that office. Especially a grandmother on a cane in a lot of pain just standing. Totally unacceptable and rude

My experience with this school has been extremely concerning, especially for students with disabilities.While the school promotes academics and programs, my child’s needs under an IEP were not consistently met. Safety concerns were repeatedly raised, documented, and addressed through multiple meetings, yet appropriate corrective action was delayed or insufficient. As a result, my child missed a significant amount of instructional time due to lack of a safe and appropriate learning environment.Tennessee law (T.C.A. § 49-1-229) requires schools to identify characteristics of dyslexia and provide evidence-based interventions. Despite early indicators, appropriate structured literacy support was not provided in a timely manner. Instead, general interventions were used that were not aligned with dyslexia-specific instruction.Communication was also a major issue. Although I was present and actively involved in meetings, concerns often required repeated follow-up before being acknowledged or addressed. This created unnecessary delays in support and impacted my child’s education.Because of these ongoing issues, I was forced to seek outside support and pursue formal complaints to ensure accountability and services for my child.I believe schools should be safe, responsive, and compliant with both state and federal laws, especially when it comes to students with disabilities. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
