Great walking paths, near 4 excellent golf courses, swimming pools, and close to the beaches at Oak Island! The weather is always good and the back porch offers a wonderful relaxation point! The house has 3 bedrooms plus an upstairs den that could easily be turned into another bedroom! The house is cable ready and internet connected so you are hooked up with the world around you! Great for working at home! It is in a quiet neighborhood with absolutely NO crime of any kind! You are a 10 minute drive from excellent shopping and great restaurants (recommend "Mr. P's" for dinner and the "Dry Street Pub" for lunch!) and a 15 minute drive from the fabulous Oak Island Beaches (where St. James has a private access only Beach pavilion with pool)! Myrtle Beach, SC is just a 45 minute drive South and Wilmington, NC the same distance Northeast. This home is a bargain at any price and if I wasn't working overseas I'd jump at it!!"

The whole area is very dog-friendly. And the Univ. of NC in Wilmington, about 30miles away, offers courses at a reduced rate for us retirees. The people are very friendly - both natives and transplants. The golf course has native plants and low water & pesticide usage. It's cheaper to live here - NC doesn't tax pensions. Our retirement lifestyle is top notch, with lots to do, fun people to do it with, and all for less than the cost of living in northern Virginia, where we came from."
