The parent community is very involved at this school and the teachers are top notch! Staff are welcoming and try to match new students with the best classroom for their personality.

My experience with the school has been excellent at distinct levels. I rate this school high in safety and teaching. The teachers are dedicated and caring. Too often, the media focuses on deficit views of the school, yet the assets offered by this school are often ignored.

This school is the worst school I've let my children go to they allow bullying, and fighting, and they are allowed to flip desks, throw stuff, Etc.Also, the teachers in this school are very disrespectful to students, my son came to me saying that his teacher yelled at him for not doing his work because someone broke his pencil, he told me he tried to explain to the teacher but she wouldn't let him explain. You also can't learn at this school the kids are way too loud and you can't hear the teacher. There ain't no way my 2 honor roll kids' grades went down that much over 6 months. In my solid opinion, they learn better in 2020 when online school was in effect. So, you won't see me or my kids here next year.

My main problem is the teachers; some are good teachers, but it feels like some teachers don't care about their students, my last 7th grade math teacher was not very nice and didn't care if we failed or not, and some teachers are lazy and don't even try. A lot of substitutes they hire are not very good either. Classmates tend to be rude, and unless you act like them, they won't accept you or help you. The social worker does a good job at what they do, providing many helpful resources. Fights aren't common but still happen, and even after they are handled they always come back up.

It's one of the best schools definitely is preparing me college the teachers are respectful better than any public school in the area I'm in the 8th grade and the curriculum is amazing

This school has several bright points and also many challenges. I think the school does a really good job with providing a quality place to learn; many awesome teachers, some not as great, that's the way it would go at any school. The principal cares about the students and, in my experience, so do the teachers. Maybe it's not a 5/5, but it's also not a 1, so I want to balance it out.

They genuinely do not teach anything here you are expected to learn yourself

Sidener is a fantastic school in every way. The administration is wonderful and caring. They are fantastic about communicating all the relevant information to parents. The teachers are kind and generous. It’s small enough that you feel special with lots of diversity and kids from all parts of Indianapolis. We have tried several schools in the area and Sidner is above and beyond the rest. I highly recommend this school if you want a down to earth school for your high ability kid.

This school was amazing the teachers were so nice and kind and they cared about there feelings. I had amazing teachers and friends.
