Description

Centrally located in Torrington for easy commuting in all directions. This is a great property that you will be able to relax in and enjoy making it your home. Ideal for entertaining and gathering. Picturesque quiet tree lined neighborhood across from playground and school yet near shops and stores. When my husband, a residential builder renovated this two-family home with freeze damage we did so with the thought to create a home we ourselves would be comfortable in. We loved the scale of the rooms and that each unit was large (1600 sq. ft. for each 2 bedroom/1 bath flat) The house sits nicely on the lot with a long driveway along the side that goes to off street parking, a detached shared 2-car garage and a small shady backyard for gardening and play. We basically gutted the interior in order to bring the home back to it's original architectural integrity yet with a completely modern brand new kitchen, a large updated bath and energy efficiency. The ceilings are higher than average and there are great dual pane windows that bring in warmth and light. We refinished the wood floors throughout (except for the beautiful vintage tile bath floor that was in mint condition. Lastly we painted all the interior walls Benjamin Moore White Dove and made sure all the windows had new blinds. Wait! There is more and this is one thing I fell in love in. The upstairs unit comes with a large walk-in granny attic framed out with windows. Just imagine the possibilities- sewing room, exercise space, workshop or maybe just a great storage space. We hope we have your interest. We are looking for reliable qualified tenants who will appreciate what this home offers and take care of it. We are ok with one or two pets but we have to approve them. Our insurance won't allow certain dog breeds. Pets must not be destructive or excessive barkers and we want responsible pet owners. No smoking on the property. Warmly Marvin and Kelly- really nice landlords.
