About this House

Come on up and see this cozy and charming Bronzeville 'penthouse' apartment. Room for the whole family with 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, as well as a formal living room, dining rooms and a family room, which is a true bonus in a unit from this historic period. Hardwood floors and new carpeting in the living spaces and bedrooms respectively. Plenty of light throughout the entire apartment. Take note of the traditional Chicago 'frunchroom', with a non-working fireplace complete with a period-vintage mantle. Check out the nook in the front corner and imagine yourself reading your favorite book or working from your laptop, all while sipping your favorite beverage and looking out at the tree-lined street below. Off to your right, you can see the summer garden that is planted in the adjoining yard that is a common area for all building tenants to use. The whole thing is fenced in so the kids can play or you can all spend a nice day with the grass beneath your feet. Out back from the kitchen there is the decent sized deck where you enjoy a warm summer evening or even a gas-grilled dinner. Note also the closeted convenience of in-unit laundry. A great opportunity in a great space for a family needing a little more. Come make this place your home today!

  • tasha4209
"Bud Biliken Parade, the car and boat shows are the only community event I’m aware of. Unfortunately more needs to happen in this area. I’m happy to finally see a decent grocery’s store such as Mariano’s. I heard a Pete’s grocery store is coming soon so I’m hopeful that some of these anchor stores will be an attraction for more retail businesses in the community. We shouldn’t have to depend on events at McCormick place."
