"There are usually dogs throughout the neighborhood. I keep mine within a fence since other dogs may come to property and could chase them. "
  • V9bq7gp72h
"I have lived in Goochland since 1979 so it’s definitely home. I consider my neighborhood safe and friendly. "
  • V9bq7gp72h
"Travel by car is the only option. No public transportation available. Average time would be 35 or more minutes to a job. "
  • Denise Fruik
"Goochland is rural so most of us have property for dogs, but if a resident is not a property owner, we have many parks with trails and plenty of space to walk,at least two of which have dog parks. To the best of my knowledge, dogs are excluded from the noise ordinance here, no one complains if you have a barker."
  • Denise
"It’s the perfect combination of rural and neighborhood living. It is safe, peaceful and friendly. I’m in a rural area, but still met most of my neighbors the first week."
  • Jlkline
"Great community with a very nice neighborhood. You do need to travel by car as most work outside of the county. "
  • Jlkline
"We have lived in Goochland for 40 years. A community that has great schools and currently a great school superintendent and county administrator. We feel a part of this county and look to live her for many more years. "
  • Jlkline
"Pretty much has to be by car. No public transportation in county. But only takes about 30 minutes. "
  • Jlkline
"A county of 21 million people. A growing community. A good number of residents are service minded willing to help others that are in need in the county. "
  • Shanisecook1414
"school system, quite area, low crime, area is still growing and progressing, yet there is an even medium, 30 to 45 minutes from either city Richmond or Charlottesville or Midlothian/Chesterfield (so you get the option of city travel) "
  • Jennifer C.
"I live here I was finally able to find the home of my dreams "
