Description

This is a mobile home undergoing renovations and upgrades on 0.35 acre within the Millbrook City limits. The home and property are offered "as is". The future owner will have the opportunity to determine color schemes in most rooms and finish the updates as deemed necessary. It offers country living with city conveniences. The property is positioned within 2 miles of I-65 and Millbrook city schools. Stanhope Elmore HS is now a 6A school with plenty of support for sports programs that draw talent scouts looking to recruit athletes. The house is 1 mile from Walmart and other businesses including restaurants and fast food. Robert Trent Golf Trail, Capitol Hill Course, is located within 3 miles in Prattville, Al. It hosts multiple PGA, LPGA and numerous other events annually. Most all amenities and plenty of shopping and restaurants are concentrated in and around the golf course (to include an 90,000 sq ft "Bass Pro Shop". Nearby is an outdoor mall with Macy, JCPenney, Belk and other smaller specialty stores. The historic area of Prattville is within 5 minutes with quaint shops and dining. Maxwell & Gunter AFBs are within 15 minutes as is most of the Montgomery area with a high concentration of state and federal jobs, as Montgomery is the state capital. The home is also convenient to Troy, Clanton, Wetumpka, Prattville, Deatsville and other nearby towns.
The home's interior & exterior are in good condition overall, but in need of superficial finishes. It has a total of 4 bedrooms and 2 baths and is 1632 sq ft. The interior flooring is plywood throughout (no particle board). Two thirds of the home has been rebuilt (around 2003-2005) for energy efficiency (thus, some unfinished spots on the inside and exterior). The integrity of the home overall is solid. Most walls contain 2 X 6 studs to allow for thicker insulation, R-19. There is a large master bedroom suite on the back side of the home. It is 16ft x 22ft with a 12ft ceiling at the peak. Adjoining this area is a very large walk in closet and bathroom, not included in the open room size. Included in the upgrades, are double pane windows that tilt inward for easy cleaning and sturdy house grade exterior doors with deadbolt locks. The roof was upgraded with new shingles in this same time period of other updates as was the heating and cooling system.
Most insulation is R19 in walls. MB has R19 in walls with R30 in ceiling; needs finished paneling or sheetrock; comfortable living with privacy on most sides.
The living room, kitchen, dinning floor are an open floor plan with island in kitchen and stone fireplace in living room. The ceiling is higher down the length, giving the illusion of a larger open space for entertaining. There is plenty of cabinet space.
Remaining on the property exterior is a utility building 10ft x 12 ft wired for electricity. It can be used for a workshop or storage. In addition, and second smaller metal storage bldg for lawn equipment will remain.

This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.

"Fairly easy commute to Prattville and Montgomery. Peak traffic times do make it difficult but as does anywhere else."
  • Tdennis
"Dog owners would love it. Great walking areas and friendly neighbors are in every neighborhood. The local parks are great too. "
  • Longfellowdm
"The park is a staple of the town. If the next mayor doesn’t maintain the community traditions, the Hallmark feel will be lost. "
  • Tamara P.
"My neighbors are great and the neighborhood is quiet and clean! I have lived in Millbrook for more than 25 years. Love it! "
  • Ivette G. C.

"there's not much of anything here that I've seen. it's quiet but Prattville had the theatre and bowling alley"

"There a lot to do in Millbrook...Mardi Gra, Halloween, Lighting of Christmas tree, parades, ball games, "
  • Cory D. W.
"Great place quiet and peaceful I am visiting my in laws and am hoping to move here or near here one day "
  • Bobandruthevans
"Millbrook is a great place to live. It's very close to Montgomery and Prattville but has few of the problems associated with cities. It has good access to the interstate, so I can be at my job on the eastern side of Montgomery in 15 minutes without a single stoplight. Wish we had moved here long ago."
  • katthom0411
"I have lived in Millbrook since moving from the Atlanta suburbs in October 2011. It is a nice, clean small town with nice people and good schools. I would not recommend it for singles since there is not too much to do here to meet new people."
