8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a 7th grader at this school. This is one of my first years here and it already sucks! I've heard some really bad reviews about the school before I came here and I didn't think anything of it. Until I came to the school. One of my friends was drinking the fruit punch and they serve them in these cups she thinks it tastes like aluminum foil until she opens it and there's mold floating around in it like it belongs in there! Whenever we come to lunch some days the food smells so bad that they have to open the door so let it air out and some kids start gagging! I this one kid used to target me and force me to apologize to him after I did nothing. I reported him to the counselors 2 TIMES! And they did absolutely nothing! So eventually my dad had to yell at this kid and he finally stopped bothering me. The teachers give you way too much work to the point where kids including me get stressed so much that they get to the point of tears. If you have any activities out of school, they don't care. You're busy after school, they don't care! They load you up with so much work that it's crazy. They are not supposed to assign 3 or more tests on the same day. But apparently they don't follow that. I once had four tests in the same day. I passed all of them but it was really stressful having to study for all those subjects. The teachers try their best to discipline the children but the children are just ruthless! They don't care, they give teachers attitude, and they think that they run the school. Out of everything this school is pretty good but it's not the best.Student Review4mo ago26 Reviews - Elliott Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageElliott Elementary has been a second home to us since kindergarten. The teachers are incredibly supportive, caring, and clearly love what they do. It’s rare to find a school that feels like a big family, but Elliott nails it! Our kid has thrived here, and we feel so lucky to have spent his elementary years in such a positive environment.Parent Review4mo ago31 Reviews - Emerson High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school! Obviously there is some problems with students that they can't fix, but overall I totally recommended! Most teachers are nice and actually teach you, and I have a lot of friends! Also, the upperclassman are really nice, and counselors, APs, and principals are so AMAZING!Student Review7mo ago6 Reviews - Wortham Intermediate School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student at this school a year back, and I loved it! This school had teachers who explained topics well, not much bullying, and if there were, they would take care of the issue. The safety was overall good, with minimal fights. Really good school, I would definitely recommend this school!Other Review5mo ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 4221 Querida Ave.

"You have to have a car in order to commute there’s no buses coming to McKinney to go to Dallas it’s a new community where I live which is new Hope the street of still small and very narrow traffic is very heavy it takes an hour and a half in the morning to get to Mockingbird Lane which is very frustrating it is nice and quiet it’s just too many people moving here now"

"McKinney is a beautiful place with mature trees and well maintained foliage. There are working class people with well mannered children. I love Halloween because people trick or treat with their kids and some pets and people decorate their homes with a flair for fun! I would raise children here if I were younger but I enjoy being a empty nester! 😊"
