I am a Teacher’s Assistant at Centennial Elementary here in Scio. Our Principal Kim Roth over the past years has helped to build a climate that encourages learning and growth. As an employee I feel respected for the work that I do in helping our students throughout the day. I feel that the work that I do is valued because of the support that I get from our staff, our families, and our community. We adopted a new reading curriculum last year as well as putting in place “All Student Reading and Writing Groups”, which has proved to be very successful. This year a new Math curriculum has been adopted. The administration and staff are focused on children’s emotional and physical well being as well as their academic growth. All in all, Centennial is a wonderful place to be and I highly recommend it!

"I work for Northwest Piano Service and love to tune and repair pianos for my clients here in Scio. It reminds me of my childhood in Montana. People stop to say hi and actually help each other out. Of course we have several community events each year across from the feed store."
