My son attended Welborn for the first half of 6th grade until we pulled him out. During that time he was promised multiple teachers for a technology class that he never got, even though they are a “technology school”. His Spanish class was switched to French with out us knowing or being asked, he was bullied and had multiple personal items broken and his book bag stolen several times and when he told the teachers they told him they had to watch the other kids because he was in the “good class”. Counselors never got in touch with us until we showed up at the school, the principal never involved herself and the teachers were impossible to get in touch with because they were leaving left and right. This school was dangerous and did not provide a safe environment or good education. They’ve received a lot of money for funding these last few years and have done nothing to improve. When I went to return my sons Chrome Book the front door was wide open and no one asked why I was there or for any identification even though there were multiple teachers in the lobby. Send your children somewhere else where they will actually be cared for.

I have had three children to have graduated from Andrews. Two of them are in college and one has graduated college. My fourth child is currently a student at Andrews. Andrews has had its share of "bad publicity." Some were earned but most were not. My children have had very caring teachers. The Office staff is awesome. The Guidance is great . The Administration sees each student as an individual. They set high standards and gives each student the opportunity to reach them. Don't get me wrong, my children has had a couple of teachers that did not do all that they needed or should have done, but as a parent, it is my job to ensure that those gaps that could happen remain closed. So don;'t expect anymore than you are willing to give yourself. Give your best and Andrews will give you their best.

This school is truly outstanding. The teachers, front desk staff, counselors, and custodians all contribute to an environment that is both welcoming and impeccably maintained. I’m especially impressed by Principal Mrs. Loyd, who is deeply involved in every aspect of the school.My daughter has attended for three years, and every experience has been positive. She has been fortunate to learn from excellent teachers each year, with her first-grade teacher, Mrs. Fields, standing out as particularly exceptional.I also value the school’s embrace of diversityit’s a place where all cultures and ethnicities are respected and celebrated. Every member of the school community puts their heart into what they do, making this one of the very best schools out there.
