    "I grew up in the town. Gates is part of the County and is definitely a small town. If you want to raise your children in a quiet country neighborhood this is the place. Just note that you are at least 30 mins away from everything. "

Approximately 1 hour to Naval Station Norfolk, VA (in good traffic) 1 hour 30 minutes (in congested traffic); Deep Creek, VA approximately 45 minutes; Greenbriar Chesapeake 50 minutes; 45 minutes to Chesapeake Square Mall; 1 hour 30 minutes to Petersburg, VA; 1 hour 40 minutes to Richmond, VA.
