Our son had a wonderful kindergarten teacher and she was great at keeping the lines of communication open! I personally did not care for the administration. The school corporation as a whole plays favorites and focus on consequences rather than prevention. The class size is too big in my opinion; 22 in our son's kindergarten class. Some of the staff is rude and unprofessional. The students are required to put their heads down and not talk after they finish their lunch. Parent involvement could be better. The primary school is brand new and therefore is very clean and there seems to be appropriate space. If parents are involved and care about their children's education then the staff make more effort to remain in contact with parents.

My experience talking to one of the teachers was the most disrespectful and disgusting moments of my life. The teacher took one look at me and called for help. I only wanted to talk about my son behavior in school, and she was immediately frightened, because of my appearance, I don’t want to use the race card, but we are two totally different race. I was very soft-spoken and did not come off aggressive. I did not get two words out before she called for help made me feel like a monster at my own son school. The worst experience ever from a school. This is crazy and something should be done because just because the color of your skin should not determine how you are treated.

I have enjoyed my experiences as a parent with RCMS. The current administration works hard at achieving the goals of the students and teachers. School grade is an A currently. That is a huge improvement.
