  • Danny P.
"Everything is close by, however building is across two huge rats infested. Public housing, no one seems to follow any rules, cleanliness non existence around the neighborhood neighborhood."
  • Susan F.
"Fairly quick to get just about anywhere with the 2,4,5 right off 149th and Grand concourse. Can easily get to midtown in 20-25 minutes. Quick 10 minute walk to Harlem "
  • Brooklyn G.
"This area is very close to shopping areas and close to transportation. And in my opinion is a very close nit family oriented area."
  • Jcastillo926
"Just good for staying indoors . Great new buildings but not safe outdoors. Great Charter schools around the area not public schools "
  • Yhernandez87
"Great place if you live in the new “gentrified area” it’s very different. Walking distance from the 6 train. 10 minutes walk-in. To the 4-2 -5 train "
  • NURA M.
"DO NOT MOVE HERE. It is loud, people are messy, and nobody has any respect for those who need to sleep. I saw a lady literally throw her plastic cup on the floor. ST Mary's park is nice but its always dirty in the morning because people don't know how to clean up after themselves. Its just all in all a crappy neighborhood to move into. Safe yourself paying over 2 grand a month to live in a "nice" apartment in a bad part of the bronx "
  • Bryan
"Neighborhood is very desolate but close to Randall’s island and the city. Its changing more and more as new constructions are coming up every other month. "
  • Serranoyvanessa83
"Uh what community events make my neighborhood special? If drug users and drunks gathered by the train station or the bodega count as an event then I guess that’s what makes the community special. "
  • Ashlie B.
"Every summer there are festivals and events for kids. Usually there is events that are organized were kids can get free costumes for Halloween and free gifts for Christmas. The neighborhood has its bad but it has a lot of good things for kids to have fun and make memories. The neighborhood definitely never forgets about kids. "
  • Williamgreen136
"There are none only a police station in the area there’s no events in this area only highways a lot of drunks homeless people "
  • Erick N.
"No events in this neighborhood. The neighborhood needs to get better with community events and crime. "
  • Pam B.
"None. There are no community events that I know of. In my area, there are a lot of auto body shops and schools. "
  • Zaida_cevallos
"south bronx is a unsafe place for me and my family there are some many NYCHA building and some problems around this area we scare to go around here "
