"Dogs are welcome and other folks walk dogs. Some businesses put water bowls out for dogs and offer free dog treats. Dogs are also welcome at some outdoor restaurants. "

"lots of homeless people my car got broken into 3 times but other than that i do like it here but i do hate living on the main road "
  • Tiffany L.
"The crime rates and safety can vary drastically from street to street, so I'd recommend looking at the actual street you intend to live on rather than the broad crime rates of the general area."
  • Teneshapowell910
"This is a retired city and too many criminals all you see and hear is the police & EMS responding to a crimes. Not a dulled moment."
  • Dawn L.
"I have seen many families here, it's a beautiful area. You are safe at any time to walk, stay or evening.. Even in the wee hours of the morning. "
  • Duane.drummond92
"School, work and grocery shopping is usually fine unless there's traffic... There's always traffic. "
  • Sigmagirl03
"Containers, I live in the Cargo District and it’s amazing. It’s a real community feeling here and it’s a not an urban sprawl, cookie cutter neighborhood. "
  • Icnofs
"Separate little houses instead of apartments. Very close to parks and lakes. Used to have a supermarket in the area but it was lost in a fire a few weeks ago. You can hear the train some times in a day or night."
  • Malinda S.
"Revitalization of the Block Short Factory near the Historic Wilmington Downtown. Great area including Greenfield Lake, Benny’s BigTime, Satellite, and The Harp."
  • staceyshrp
"I bought my home a month ago and I feel quite safe here. All of the homes are well maintained and the neighbors really watch out for each other. The early mornings and evenings are great for sitting on the porch. The neighborhood is getting better each block at a time. I wish I would have moved here years ago. The cost of the homes are very reasonable as compared to the national average."
