I’m not sure how often this website is updated but my daughter has done very well at this school, she’s improved so much despite going through a pandemic she did not fall too far behind, caught up, and now exceeding her grade level. She’s made tons of friends and the environment seems to be pretty healthy (socially) for her. They’ve also been awarded the National Blue Ribbon award as well, which is given to schools for their overall academic excellence. Personally what I like most is their security as well. I feel very comfortable leaving my kid there and even the bus driver knows my neighborhood, and what cars are usually suppose to be there and who. One time wouldn’t allow my daughter off the bus because she didn’t see my car, which if we’re being honest could just be the great worker and not the case with every bus but still... idk I guess 5/10 is the rating but to me that seems too low, I believe this school is performing at least a 7 or higher. Decide for yourselves.

This is the worst school ever. Staff are very unprofessional and call me inappropriate names. The TSC program is trash!! They don't teach you according to your grade level. The principals at platt are also very unprofessional!!This whole school is wack. I'm not getting no real education they teaching me baby work I rate this school a 0/10. l've been in this same class for 3 years don't ask me what l've been taught cause it ain't nothing new. This whole school is trash like I said, 0/10.

I was very nervous about this school due to rumors and such, but rumors is just what they were! We have had nothing but a positive experience.From the students to the staff my child has been treated with kindness and respect. He loves the curriculum. They have so many activities and so much support at this school!I'm especially grateful to the Office staff who has made every effort to make sure the kids are safe and always know there is a WMS staff member who is there to help and support not only the students but also the parents! Shawnna in the office has been my savior and the schools principal Jessica is very in tune with the staff and students this makes all the difference! The teachers are the best, you can tell just a few moments of speaking with them how much they truly care about their students! This is a huge change from when I attended Meriden schools (too many years ago to admit LOL) For me this is a very big deal. The teachers have so much impact on their students future, maybe more than they even know. I could not be happier with our experience! I am so happy and my son is loving this school.Thank you to all the amazing staff at Washing Middle School!I look forward to the next few years of my sons education with you all!
