JMS is a very harsh school and the teachers don't support whatsoever

Failed miserably at everything a school should be, I was excited to go to high-school until I made it here and all the teachers hated me asking questions, I thought that's how you learn. This place is nearly indistinguishable from a prison

My children have done well at Tompkins. We have had some incredible teachers, specifically Mrs. Carrasco, Mrs. Li, Mrs. Akins, Mrs. Butler, and Mrs. De Iulio. All of these have gone above and beyond to provide an engaging and rewarding school experience for my kids. There are also plenty of fun events that get my kids excited (rallies, talent show, class play, color run, battle of books, field trips, Easter egg hunt, carnival-like events throughout the year) a lot of school pride, and a wonderful librarian. My only complaints are that the yard duties are overzealous and the parking situation at pickup is chaotic. There are clear places to park and a drive-through area, but it isn’t well-enforced; people park in fire lanes, block traffic, jaywalk, etc. Overall, we have really loved Tompkins and the pride that the teachers and staff have in their school shows.
