Principal Harper was the best principal. She was involved with the students and loved her job! She always was available and talked to the students. I wished she never left McLain. The school was in bad shaped before she came. She cleaned up the school and made sure that the students were safe!

My son has been at Jackson for four years and I must say that if there was anyway we could have moved him we most definitely would have, my son has been stabbed,hit in the face by a parent volunteer, been racially discriminatd against and bullied !!!! This school is a joke ! Recently, i have had to call the school board because they refused to let the kids inside the school during the negative degree temperatures until 7:45 and they are supposed to be let inby 7:30.Today I find out that our kids are expected to be able to work in freezing cold classrooms because they wont turn up the heat .This school gets alot of funding from the state so what's the problem??? If there is any possible alternative to putting your child in this school then I would advise you to enroll them elsewhere. And let's also mention the disgusting lunches, prisoners eat better than our kids.They took the salad away because its too expensive, does that tell you anything????

This is one of the BEST Middle School's in Tulsa, OK. I was a little apprehensive about sending my daughter to this school because of the rating. However I believe with more parent involvement, this school could easily become a level 10 rating. After meeting the teachers and office staff, this is a GREAT school. They offer the most AMAZING program. The principal is visible at all times; Ms. Anne is AWESOME, they really care about your child's education and making sure that the Scholars (that's what they call the students) are really prepared for High School and College. I love this school.
