7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageParents are barely welcome to see the teachers. My child had to get reevaluated basically because they think she doesn't need her IEP anymore that suppose to been the same for 3yrs. Dropping your child off in the morning is a long process. It's only 3 people that stands outside and there are metal detectors so your child will more than likely have to stand outside. This morning it was cold and rain and traffic. Very bad traffic so a 7 min ride turned into 18 mins. We get to her school at 7:31. All parents are getting out of there cars. Once out the cars we had to stand in a long line . With our kids in the cold and rain. They aren't understanding at all. One parent even complained to me once stating they marked her non verbal child absent and he was actually at school. They don't treat kids right that have disabilities. I wouldn't refer anyone to this school it's very terrible.Parent Review6mo ago21 Reviews - Rock Springs Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs former students I can tell you that this school is not the best choice. The bullying I experienced was absolutely horrendous, the food was hardly ever cooked fully half the time, teacher's nor other staff barely ever did crap for discipline, people were always picking on me and my friends every single day, no one knew how to act right in general and everyone there were the like meanest people you'll ever meet (teachers included). Some of the teachers would look at students inappropriately, the hallways always smelled so freaking bad, the only thing really 'enjoyable' was the spring flings and fall festivals. I would NOT recommend this school to any sane person.Other Review8mo ago12 Reviews - Stewarts Creek High School

"Lakes are 5 minutes away. Greenway trails are 5 minutes away for leisurely walks, cycling, and fitness. Parks and recreation are 5-10 minutes away and local citizens, city, and state government manage the resources well. Access to interstate highways are 5-7 minutes away. "

"I love Smyrna, and we raised our kids here. Smyrna is growing rapidly, because it’s fairly close to Downtown Nashville. Your local community in Smyrna is still fairly small, with a small town atmosphere. I’m close to the library, and it feels safe, surrounded area have nice sidewalks for walking and biking. It’s quiet and safe at night. Nice smaller neighborhoods, which makes it easier to connect with your neighbors. Well kept yards, and it feels safe to let your kids play outside and in the neighborhood. Good living for singles, couples and families with children. Helena"

"Commuting to Nashville is horrendous. I live 16 miles from my workplace, and it takes an hour to get there. My fiancé’s workplace is 23 miles from downtown Nashville and his commute is 1.5 hours. We liked living in Murfreesboro but Smyrna isn’t doing well and so many businesses are closing. People here are rude and trashy, do yourself a favor and move to Nashville. "

"trick or treating, all the kids play outside together and ride bikes. Neighbours watch out for each other’s kids. I’ve lived here since 1996 so it’s been a good experience for my family. lots of local churches and community activities "

"Teach typical safety; people speed their cars more than I’d care for (but that’s not akin to this area specifically.) Very friendly, quaint, convenient. "

"Typical for any suburb of Nashville. While the town of Smyrna isn’t busy, roads on or nearing the interstate will be during rush hour."

"My husband and I have recently relocated from out of state and are lucky enough to work from home so we don’t have to deal with commuting however we have been out during ‘rush hour’ and can say that although there is a little traffic it’s nothing that would cause any major delays or cause your blood pressure to skyrocket. We’ve moved from New York so our view of traffic might be a little skewed, traffic to us is brake lights as far as you can see paired with an extra 1-3 hours travel time. In the few months we’ve been here we haven’t witnessed any true traffic (by our definition). "
