2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to go to Glasgow Middle School. Let me tell you to everyone who wants to come here: Do not go to Glasgow Middle School. Go to Longfellow Middle School and middle schools in Chantilly, they are much better. The schools in McLean, VA have a better special education program than this middle school. Longfellow Middle School and McLean High School have better special education program than Glasgow Middle School. This middle school has a terrible special education program. They don’t know on how to help special education students with an IEP and different learning abilities. The counselors and case managers don’t know on how to help and guide special education students through success in learning. They are not fully well trained. All of the case managers are horrible. One case manager went to look at my stuff without the permission of my other case manager which is disrespectful. They could have recommended me and my parents to go try Longfellow Middle School which the staff members are better at helping special education students than those at Title 1 schools. I have really bad three case managers here. They threatened the parents to put their special education kids into getting a tutor outside of the school in order for them to stay in team taught classes, general education classes, and honors classes for Math, Science, and English. Speech therapist, Occupational therapist, and Reading Specialist do not work with your special needs child who have struggles with reading comprehension and writing problem like pressing pen/pencil too hard. They will tell you to seek a Speech Therapist and Occupational Therapist outside of school to a clinic and get a tutor if your child have problems with reading comprehension. They will threatened the parents to get a occupational therapist outside of school if your child has writing problems such as pressing the pen/pencil too hard and wants to stay in team taught classes, general education classes, and honors classes. For all those parents who have special needs kids, I do recommend to put your special needs kids in Longfellow Middle School and McLean High School and avoid Title 1 schools altogether including Glasgow Middle School. It was a very horrible experience. Remember: not all schools are the same. Good schools are in rich areas including McLean, VA and if you don’t have money to buy a home there, I would recommend doing getting a rental home in Falls Church, VA borderline to McLean, VA and McLean, VA.Other Review1y ago34 Reviews - Justice High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of two students at Parklawn Elementary School, I would like to kindly request more attention to the management of school buses and student safety during transportation. I live in Skyline Towers Apartments (5601 Seminary Rd, Falls Church, VA 22041), and I have noticed that when students enter and exit the buses- particularly # PL04, there is often a lack of discipline, overcrowding, and sometimes even five students sitting in one seat. On several occasions, students sometimes stand inside the bus, which raises serious safety concerns. As a concerned parent, I sincerely hope this issue can be prioritized, not only to ensure proper use of the buses but also to protect the safety and comfort of all students. That being said, I would also like to express my gratitude to Parklawn Elementary’s wonderful management and staff. From the smooth registration process with Ms. Doris, to Ms. Khalida’s timely communication with my wife, and the dedication of the great teachers, we truly appreciate the support and care shown to our children.Parent Review9mo ago16 Reviews - Check out schools near 4100 Ginger Dr.

"1)Lifestyle match: A truly great neighborhood is one in sync with your current lifestyle. We are young professionals with toddlers. 2)Pride in ownership is obvious when the residents, whether, maintain their homes and care about their neighborhood. 3)Low crime rates give a neighborhood a sense of ease and calm. 4) Great schools: For homeowners and renters with children, great schools top their list of what makes a great neighborhood. 5) Outdoor activities abound: Being close to the outdoor adventures you love can sweeten the appeal of our neighborhood. 6)Family friendly: Lots of other families in the neighborhood are great for other families with children. 7) Easy access to public transportation is a fantastic plus for a neighborhood and an amenity for almost any lifestyle."
