"I bought my house in South Louisville near Wyandotte a year and a half ago. I love how convenient my house is to downtown as well as the interstate. I have awesome neighbors all around and we all look out for each other and keep our street pretty safe compared to most other affordable neighborhoods in Louisville and It is a short walk to plenty of food places and the grocery store and pubs. Very little traffic at any given time.! The best part is the diversity, healthy mix of renters and owner occupied homes. Also, people of many different cultures live in harmony here , old and young. That and a great place to be yourself . I would consider it very LGBT accepting and friendly also. Most of my neighbors have been here for 10 years or more . You really can’t beat it for affordability and convenience!"
    • Trulia User
"The area is safe. There are families with kids. My grandkids come over all the time and they play outside all the time."

Many places to worship, senior centers and malls. Of course the river is just around the bend! Beautiful and green everywhere! And there is a leash and pick up after your pooch laws. "
    • Trulia User
