4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI know my title says current student, but I finally left that school! The school learning wise is good, and has a good educational system, while the children aren’t good! Unless you fit into a popular clique and aren’t considered ‘weird’ at all, then you’ll do perfectly fine! But from 6th-8th grade I was bullied based of the way I dressed, acted, or things I liked just because I didn’t fit in with the popular kids! And another thing that would be harder for people to deal with would be money issues. I personally didn’t deal with people bullying me for not having a bunch of money, but I’m sure there has been student who have in the past who’ve been made fun of due to lack of money. And, Williams bay generally has smaller classes, so you’d be getting the educational benefits, but if people didn’t like you then class would be worse since you would have to spend 45/90 minutes with people who’d tease you. And the school in general feels a bit unstable. Last year (2023-24) in the middle of April the whole schedule for the entire school changed, and that change could’ve been made for the next school year instead of in the middle of the year! As well as that, the random changes to dress codes. Last year (22-23) they changed the dress code, and we weren’t notified, and the same goes for this year. The dress code isn’t strict, and is respectable, but the sudden changes to it without even a mention of it is stupid! Maybe I’m bringing out the worst in this school because I’ve never really liked it (I had been going there my whole life until last year), so I’m being biased, but the school definitely has flaws! In general it’s a good school to attend if you want a good education, but the school it’s self otherwise isn’t very good.Student Review3mo ago - Williams Bay Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI Absalutely love Williams Bay Elementary School!! I am a student that has been going there for 5 years. All of the teachers that I have had in the previous years are so understanding and nice. There is a strict No bullying, and it works. If you are worried that your son or daughter won't find friends, your wrong. When you are the new kid at Williamsbay, people want to hang out with you, help you with your lunch tray, etc. I really don't know one person in my grade, 6th grade, that doesn't have at least one friend! Nor do I believe there are any TRUE enemy's. Please send your child here! You won't regret it!Other Review11y ago - Williams Bay High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI lived in this community for over 20 years. Some of the teachers are very good, and some should not be teaching. My oldest was college bound and took physics. When he got to college, he did not know what his college physics professors were talking about. Williams Bay does not teach math based physics- they teach physics the way it was in the 1950's and 60's. When I questioned the physics teacher why she wasn't teaching math based physics she said she was told not to because it was too difficult and no one would take it. This school does not prepare students for college. When tasked with doing a simple term paper in college, my son said he had never done a term paper ever in this school system. When I asked the administrators why they did not teach or require term papers/ research papers they had absolutely no answer. Once I showed them why this was so important, they went nuts with requiring written papers in every subject. I feel this school administrators are incompetent. If you want confirmation, look into the college graduation rate of their valedictorians- very few get past their 2nd year and drop out. They like to point to test scores, but I think this may be because they teach to the test rather than teach a subject completely. Truly talented teachers leave for other schools out of frustration with administrators and school board politics. My son said in hindsight he should have gone to Big Foot High School in nearby Walworth, Wi. or Lake Geneva's Badger High School for a much better (more challenging) high school experience.Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 407 Canterbury Ct.
