NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is honestly a horrible place. Only certain teachers here are actually good with teaching the material, but others just give you work and expect you to do it. The lunch staff (some.) like to harass and follow around students based on stereotypes of look. They do not actually care for their student’s mental health, don't care for their education, and there are very few teachers who actually do. And those same teachers get treated wrongly by either staff or the administrators because of the way they do things, that actually help students learn. Bullying is also a huge problem in this school, yet it is usually brushed off if these students are not favored. Speaking of which, majority of these teachers will favor the rich, popular kids instead of paying more attention to the quieter, or more-so, ‘weird’ students. I have had horrible experiences in this school. The administrators and how they deal with problems are very, lazy. Students here are lazy, self centered, and the majority are white, rich, arrogant children. There is barely any diversity, and in my whole years going here i have seen at-least 3 POC students. Many of the staff make assumptions about students, claiming things about them, telling PARENTS about issues that aren’t even true, and one specifically lies about how this group of students ‘vape’ and follow them around based on looks and assumptions. There are clear power dynamics here between staff and students, and staff love to take advantage of it. Once, a student had brought up how she felt targeted and was genuinely upset about it, and the vice principal brushed them off and said, “I don’t want to hear it, ——.” Overall, the administration of this school sucks and doesn’t take anything seriously besides little things or people they favor. Don’t go here.Student Review2mo ago5 Reviews - West Shore Elementary School
