7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m puzzled by the rating Great Schools has given this school, as it is so far removed from the reality and the rising state report card grades. My children have attended Avondale since the wonderful First Class Pre-K program. The teachers, administrators, and community partners are all phenomenal. The beautiful building, teaching farm and tennis courts on site, slate of after-school clubs, and active parent community all make it a special place.Parent Review1y ago19 Reviews - We Putnam Middle School-Magnet

"There are a lot of dogs here that are not contained. I can’t walk my dog in this neighborhood. I have an aggressive breed of dog and there are so many dogs around here there just roam and wander around."

"It’s ok you most definitely would want to have a vehicle while living here. Especially depending on where you are located. I mean it’s not a big city so 🤷🏾♂️"

"Trunk or treating at churches, food can drives during different times of the day year, Easter egg hunts for the public, food gatherings and sometimes people come and perform songs and music, dancing. Avondale park is also a really lovely place to have a picnic or walk your dog(s) and they even have different pavilions equipped with electric outlets for bigger events, even weddings! With the library near by as well! It’s an overall lovely place to start a new or just somewhere fresh where the people are lively and usually friendly. :)"
