Im attending the high school as of now and I can really say that it is a very very mediocre experience. There is "clicks" and people are mean to each other people but bullying isn't much of a problem. The athletic program isn't great although, some sports do fairly well but coaching is all about favorites. You have to be very well known or some would say "popular" to be played a ton or even make the team. We definitely have a favorites problem with our sports program. It seems like you have to have a big family that everyone knows. If you were to ask anyone who the major families were in Vermilion they could name off them all. The education program is okay, the school cares about their students, some a little more than others but they do care. Teachers are great here but there is a select group of teachers who just don't know how to teach and expect their students to know how to do things they never taught them. Principle is okay. Since Mr. Lamb left the school defiantly went down hill. I mean why would you take away junior sign out? It just doesn't make sense. Counselors are not very good, theres two of them who just have no clue. School lunch is absolutely disgusting. Definitely need an upgrade on food portions. Growing teenagers need more then just a snack for lunch. Over all education is fine everything else needs some help.
